It's officially tomato season! I don't know about you, but my garden is full of juicy, ripe tomatoes, and what better way to use them up than with a delicious, refreshing Caprese salad? With creamy mozzarella, sweet and summery red tomatoes, freshly picked basil, and a little bit of olive oil, balsamic glaze, and salt, you'll have the perfect appetizer for a summer get-together in no time!

Ingredients:

  • 3 Roma tomatoes cut into 1/4-inch slices

  • 8oz mozzarella cheese cut into 1/4-inch slices

  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

  • A pinch of flaky salt (optional)

Directions:

1. On a large plate, layer the tomato and mozzarella slices in a spiral formation, alternating between tomato and mozzarella.

2. Garnish with the basil leaves and drizzle the olive oil and balsamic glaze on top.

3. Optionally, add a pinch of flaky salt to finish the dish off!
